Purpose and Goals of the Scholarship
The Mogital Analytics Scholarship Program is designed to foster academic excellence and cultivate future data science leaders. Our goal is to empower African students by providing financial support and expert guidance, enabling them to pursue advanced studies in Data Science at renowned universities worldwide. This initiative aims to bridge the skill gap and drive innovation in the data science field across Africa.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be African nationals intending to apply for a master's or PhD program in Data Science or related fields. Candidates should demonstrate academic excellence, a strong interest in data science, and a commitment to contributing to the development of data science in Africa. Prior experience or coursework in data science, though not mandatory, will be advantageous.
Application Requirements and Process
To apply, candidates must submit an application form available on our website, along with their academic transcripts, a short essay on their vision for Data Science in Africa, and a CV outlining their experience and achievements in data science. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview. The selection process focuses on academic merit, potential for leadership, and the candidate’s vision for data science in Africa.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected scholars will receive financial support to cover application fees for their chosen university. Additionally, Mogital Analytics offers comprehensive support in preparing application documents, including refining statements of purpose and CVs, to enhance candidates' chances of admission to top-tier universities.
Deadlines and Timelines
Applications for the scholarship open on December 8th and close on December 22nd each year. Successful applicants will be notified by January 22nd. All scholarship-related activities, including document preparation, must be completed before university application deadlines for the academic year.
